CT ARES - Weather Radio SAME Settings

After purchasing a NOAA Weather Radio (NWR), it must be programmed in order to receive weather alerts and warnings from the county or counties of your choice. For this, you will require the 6-digit Specific Area Message Encoding code numbers for your particular location. Then follow the directions in your radio's user's manual. The table below provides these SAME codes for every Connecticut county along with the transmitter sites so that the closest and most powerful site can be chosen.
